These are some of my poems, new poems will be uploaded every once in a while :) Am I a poet? No. But do I write poems? Yes-and I love it. (doesn't mean I'm very good at it :P) Sometimes I write when a beautiful line strikes my mind, and sometimes when emotions take over the logical brain. In the bigger picture, I don’t write because I already create something amazing. I write because, if I keep writing, one day I surely will. For if you keep waiting to write the perfect poem, you may never get close. But if you keep writing, one of your poems just might feel perfect ✨ the name by the way, ocarminamea = oh carmina mea, which means oh my poems in latin, a simple word play hehe...

Blue Again

Blue Again



I want the clouds to rain,

rain till they lose every drop,

every hope, every tear,

they've ever had.


I want them to rain

like the great flood

might not we survive,

but in the end,

when it ends,

a blue bright sky is all I want.

backstory:

The day I wrote this poem, I was feeling frustrated about how some events went down, and I couldn't have done anything differently so that I would've landed on a different outcome, guess that's helplessness for you. I wanted to clean the slate and rewrite the story but guess it just isn't possible... and in the end, you just have to let it go, and words were all that were left of this chain of incidents.

    Hey Mono!! It's Rae, your penpal :) I was looking through our past emails and suddenly recalled you sending me the link to your poetry blog so I had a look through several poems of yours! I really enjoyed this one in particular, and I can understand the feeling you wanted to bring across to the reader, you put it across in a very refreshing way LOL. Keep writing!!

  उन्हें चाहने लगे हैं , वो मन को भाने लगे हैं | पता चला है मन को , कि मन में उनका रहना काफ़ी   नहीं   है | कुछ करने से पहले सोचना , क्या उनको पसंद आता , सिर्फ़ ये सोचना भी , काफ़ी नहीं है | और कुछ बनाने के बाद ये सवाल , क्या ये उन्हें दिखा पाते  भी, काफ़ी नहीं है | अब जाकर ये समझ आया , कि मन - ही - मन उनसे बातें करना , अब और ज़रा भी , काफ़ी नहीं है | सो आज मन ने पूछा है , क्या वो भी करते हैं , ऐसे मन - ही - मन बातें , जैसे हम किया करते हैं | सो आज हमारा मन , हो रहा प्रस्तुत , उनके मन के रूप में | और उनका मन कर रहा है , हमारे मन से बात | क्या माँगते हो तुम भी टूटते तारों से , दुआ में उठाते हो अपने हाथ | या कभी याद भी नहीं करते , दिनभर इधर - उधर के काम , और गहरी नींद पूरी रात | अजी , ये कहाँ फँस गए , कहाँ उलझ गया मन | इससे तो भले - चंगे थे , जब नहीं था इन पराये   विचारों का संग | जी...

Last Tea with Fear

Last Tea with Fear Two cups of water, Two cups of tea, I set the table, You set me free. After years of survival, I've finally mustered courage, Just enough to share the table, and pour the parting beverage. This is not a prayer! nor, if I dare say, a warning, consider this a request, for I can no longer survive, in your vicinage. Two ounces of courage, One of relief, This tea party is done, Now you need to leave. ~A Singh backstory: I don't have a specific backstory for this one, its a poem everyone can relate to, as we all have or had this one fear we at some point in our life decide to face, to those of you who did, congrats and to those who are still planning or are not sure.. more power to y'all and I hope you do it soon...
